Thailand Gem and Jewelry Import-Export Performance January-February 2023

Thailand’s gem and jewelry import value of January-February 2023 dropped to USD 1,974.26 million, a 22.94 percent slide from the same period of last year. Whereas, Thailand’s gem and jewelry export value of January-February 2023 shrank 7.28 percent from the value of USD 2,077.74 million in the same period of last year to USD 1,926.52 million. Accounting for a 4.52 percent share of the country’s gross exports, the products were listed as Thailand’s fourth most important exports. However, excluding the export value of unwrought gold, the actual export value of gem and jewelry products was at USD 1,586.23 million, a 36.86 percent jump from the same period of the previous year.
