Istanbul Jewelry Show eyes late-May dates after cancelling March event
Istanbul Jewelry Show has postponed its spring 2021 event for two months, in the hope of making a safer and more successful show for all involved when it takes place later in the year.
Show organiser Informa announced that the original 25-28 March dates have been scrapped.
The show will now take place 27-30 May 2021 at CNR Expo, Istanbul Fair Center.
This comes after a slew of cancelled events throughout most of 2020 in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The show organiser revealed that while it believes it can safely hold shows at this time, the decision means that more people will be able to attend the Istanbul Jewelry show when it does happen.
A statement read: “We believe that moving the Istanbul Jewelry Show March event to May 2021 is the right decision to achieve a more successful and accessible event, in consideration of the continuing restrictions on international travel.”
The statement added: “Our priority is always to realise the successful, efficient and high-standard events that our attendees and exhibitors rightly expect, and where the industry can receive the maximum benefit in coming together.”
