Tiffany and CFDA to Debut New Scholarship for Jewelry Design Award
Tiffany & Co. and
the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) have launched their
2026/2027 jewelry design award, which also introduces a new scholarship for an
emerging design student.
The collaboration will
mark the debut of the Tiffany x CFDA Jewelry Design Scholar Award, the CFDA
said Monday. The prize will comprise a $25,000 grant and a summer
apprenticeship for an early-career jewelry design student.
Meanwhile, the Tiffany
& Co. x CFDA Jewelry Designer Award gives finalists funding to develop a
three- to five-piece collection, along with creative mentorship and a program
dedicated to craft and material exploration.
Finalists will receive
individual mentorship from Tiffany & Co.’s design team and present their
collections to the selection committee, with the program concluding in an award
ceremony at The Landmark, the brand’s Fifth Avenue flagship. One winner will
get a $50,000 grant and a one-year fellowship with the Tiffany design team,
CFDA added.
The selection
committee includes vice chairman of jewelry at Sotheby’s Frank Everett, actress
Gabrielle Union and Jameel Mohammed, the recipient who received the inaugural
award in 2025.
Tiffany will announce
participants in the fall and name the winner in early 2027.
