Jewellery World Awards (JWA) is now accepting entries for its regional edition, JWA Dubai, which affirms the growing importance of the Middle East in the international gem and jewellery industry. 

Supported by its Official Partner, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), JWA Dubai will recognise and honour outstanding achievements and contributions made in the Middle East region. 

Its awards ceremony and gala dinner will be held on February 21, 2022 during the maiden JGT Dubai (Jewellery, Gem & Technology Dubai), a premium exhibition organised by Informa Markets Jewellery and the Italian Exhibition Group SpA.

From now until October 21, the inaugural JWA Dubai is accepting entry submissions in three of its four categories: Brand of the Year – Retail, Outstanding Enterprise of the Year, and Young Entrepreneur of the Year (age 40 and below). The fourth category, the Lifetime Achievement Award, will be selected by the organiser.

“We are thrilled to launch JWA Dubai to identify, recognise and celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of the gemstone and jewellery community in the Middle East,” said Letitia Chow, chairperson and founder of JWA at Informa Markets Jewellery. 

“We see a lot of potential for growth and development in this high-performing region, which plays an important role in the global industry,” she continued.

Gem and jewellery expert Nirupa Bhatt, former managing director of GIA India and the Middle East, has been named one of JWA Dubai’s principal judges.
