Swarovski offers ‘created diamonds’ globally
Austrian crystal maker Swarovski will expand its lab-grown diamond (LGD) jewellery line to the global market after finding success in the US and Canada.
Swarovski Created Diamonds will become available across all Swarovski flagship stores and in key markets, including China, Italy, Korea, Japan, the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Austria and the United Arab Emirates.
The global roll out supports the company’s ongoing expansion into the LGD category. “Lab-grown diamonds will play a significant role in the future of the diamond category, and they represent a strategic growth category for Swarovski,” said Alexis Nasard, CEO of Swarovski.
The jeweller is also preparing to launch a new collection, Galaxy, designed by the company’s global creative director Giovanna Engelbert. Galaxy is set to debut on September 18, 2023 at Swarovski‘s 5th Avenue flagship store in New York.
Meanwhile, Swarovski is partnering with the International Gemological Institute (IGI), which will certify all LGDs in Swarovski’s Galaxy collection and Swarovski Created Diamonds, according to the 4Cs of diamond quality – cut, colour, clarity and carat.
“Our partnership with IGI will guarantee the quality of each stone in our forthcoming Swarovski Created Diamonds collections, enhancing consumer trust and confidence during our global roll out,” Nasard explained.
